Entrepreneurship Unit For every society to run smoothly, matters pertaining to finance is crucial and thus, entrepreneurship unit is set up in Volunteer Team. This is a supporting unit which generates income for the other units to keep progressing. Taking Prophet Muhammad s.a.w., a successful merchant and his wife Khadijah r.a., an indomitable investor-entrepreneur as perfect role models, volunteers are trained to be opportunistic, creative and innovative. In the Holy Quran, numerous metaphors from the world of commerce are used when discussing matters concerning to tawhid; encouraging the believers to strike a profitable bargain with Allah Subhana wa Taala. Prophet Muhammad s.a.w in a Hadith had said that nine out of ten sources of ‘rezeki’ are derived from business activities. Hence, Entrepreneurship Unit in Volunteer Team plays an essential role, akin to Muslim entrepreneurs in the earlier days; using their trade relations in carrying out tireless da’wah to spread Islam. Our biggest achievement was during a carnival at SBPI Pekan, in which the gross profit approximated to be RM900+. In the future, Volunteer Team anticipates improvement in our sales strategy and hopes to conduct more fund-raising activities.
